What are all the major changes for a passport renewal & new passport?
These are the toughest time for Indian passport holders during covid and it is no different for them getting the renewal of their passports also during this period. The process, the time taken, the guidelines rules all are changed during this covid period whether it’s a passport renewal, fresh passport, or anything related to applying and issuing a new passport.
It is after lockdown 3, that MEA released passport renewal appointments for the selected PSKs all over India. And as per the latest data, though almost all the PSKs & RPOs are open, still few POPSKs are yet to be functional.
It also means that people who do not have a facility of PSKs and were dependent on Post offices for their Passport renewal process now need to wait for some more time to be completely operational.
