How to apply for passport renewal

Step 1: select the consular jurisdiction through which you would like to apply for the passport renewal.

 Step 2: submit the desired documents

Fill in the online application form.

Select the option of re-issue of passport.

Fill in the VFS Global form and attach the required documents. 

Step 3: It’s your turn to pay the fee amount for the passport renewal.

What are all the documents required for Indian passport renewal in the US?

1. Copy of the VFS order form.
2. A checklist- filled and signed. 
3. Online application form which you filled and submitted.
4. 3 copies are required for the filled Nationality Verification Form and 3 photographs for a personal particular form.
5. 3 color photographs. These have to be recent. In case the passport has expired for more than 3 years, 8 photographs will be needed. 
6. A notarized color copy of Green Card or Employment Authorization card or copy of legal status in the US is required, whichever is accepted.
7. Original passport.
8. Photocopies of the current passport’s first 5 and last 2 pages.
